How do I remove salad oil from a tablecloth?

Salad oil is important to remove as soon as possible because it can yellow with age if not removed. If you have a big spill at the table , cover it with absorbent powder and shake off after dinner.  Apply a mild detergent mixed with household ammonia, ASAP.  Wait 5-10 minutes and wash in the hottest water safe for the fabric.
